Helping Others

Help Students Give to Jessie's Place

Jefferson State's Eta Epsilon chapter of Sigma Kappa Delta is currently accepting donations to benefit the Birmingham based women and children’s shelter Jessie's Place.

The mission of Jessie's Place is to provide a haven for homeless and hurting women and children who are seeking shelter while preparing to reach self-sufficiency. As part of their outreach, Jessie's Place is involved in education remediation, career readiness, and children's programs—just to name a few.

The members of Sigma Kappa Delta are asking that you please consider helping Jessie's Place fulfill their mission by donating the following types of items:

  • 1/3-cut file folder labels
  • New school uniforms- navy blue or black bottoms and white or light blue tops
  • Clear sheet protectors

  •  Children's school supplies
Donations will be accepted through July 13th at the locations listed below.  These items will be used by Jessie's Place as teaching and learning materials and will be given to children who are in need of supplies for school.
