Biker Chef

Chef Jason Bierley Excels in Mountain Bike Races

On November 10, Jefferson State Chef Jason Bierley competed in the Chainbuster "Battle for Oak Mountain" nine-hour mountain bike race. He was part of a 3 man team, Bike Link Racing, sponsored by Bike Link of Hoover. Jason's team earned second place in the team category. There were riders from all over the southeast competing.

The following day, Jason competed in the Dirty Spokes Off Road duathlon. It was a trail running/mountain bike race. He competed in this race last year and had an 11 minute faster finish time this year! Jason took 3rd in his age group and finished 12th overall, out of about 100 racers.

Great job, Jason!
